Here are some of the most frequently asked questions about surgical aftercare at Pearl Recovery Retreat. At Pearl, our mission is to provide a serene atmosphere for surgery recovery. What Procedures Do You Offer Recovery For?
As Beverly Hills preferred surgery recovery facility, our nurses are trained on each surgeon’s exact recovery protocols. This allows our nurses to help with surgical recovery from a variety of procedures including plastic surgery, orthopedic surgery, knee surgery, and more. What is included within my Pearl Recovery Suite?
All of our Pearl Recovery Suites are 650 sq-ft and are located in a dedicated wing of the 5-star luxury Viceroy L'Ermitage Hotel in Beverly Hills. All Pearl Recovery Suites include:
- Private in-room bathroom and shower
- Shaded balcony with city or garden views
- Expansive seating for lounging and guests
- Luxurious king-sized bed with Sferra imported Italian linens
- Complimentary standard WiFi
- Dressing room with vanity area
- Large Samsung flat screen TV with Bose Speakers
- Bathroom mirror with inset TV
- Nespresso coffee machine
- Soft ambient lighting
- Bedside phone for calling nurses, friends, and family
Additionally, before your arrival, your room will be prepared specifically to accommodate your surgery recovery needs.
May I have visitors?
Resting and caring for yourself is only one part of a restorative recovery process. Here at Pearl Recovery, we understand that having your family and closest loved ones at your side for support is an essential part of recovery. As such, we welcome your visitors with open arms 24/7. Can I have a guest stay with me?
If you wish to have a guest stay with you during the recovery process, please let us know ahead of your arrival. Due to the Viceroy L'Ermitage Hotel policy, we charge an additional fee per guest staying overnight with you during your stay. For additional information and pricing, please contact us.
Where do my guests sleep?
If you decide to have a guest stay with you during your restorative stay at Pearl Recovery, per hotel policy, there will be an additional fee charged per person. For more information on where your guests may stay and for pricing, please contact us.
Can Pearl Recovery arrange for someone to pick me up and take me home after discharge?
We know confidentiality is essential to our guests, that’s why we provide private transportation from surgery discharge, and to and from all follow-up visits for our guests’ convenience, eliminating the stress of arranging a car or taxi. You can rest assured that all transportation to and from Pearl Recovery Retreat occurs through a private entrance, for the most streamlined, secure, and discreet experience.
What is your Cancellation Policy?
In order to provide the best experience possible for all of our guests, we offer a 24-hour cancellation policy. If you need to cancel your stay with us for any reason, please call us 24-hours before your check-in date. If you cancel your stay with us within 24-hours of your check-in time, we will return all deposits made within the 24-hour notice. However, if we do not receive a 24-hour notice prior to your cancellation, you will only receive 50% of the one night deposit you made upon booking.

What kind of nursing care will I receive at Pearl Recovery?
At Pearl Recovery, we only employee experienced female nursing staff who are experts in surgical recovery care. Many patients who recover at home may feel too embarrassed to call their doctor’s office with questions about their recovery after surgery. At Pearl, each of our patients has experienced nurses pampering them 24/7. Our expert nursing staff will manage your pain medications, dressing changes, and more, following your doctor’s protocol with extreme and professional care. At Pearl Recovery, you can rest assured that you are receiving attentive, individualized care at every step in your recovery process.
What items should I bring with me?
During your pre-operative appointment, ask your surgeon if he/she recommends purchasing any special surgical garments for your recovery. If so, you may purchase them in advance and bring them with you to Pearl Recovery Retreat, or purchase them from us during your stay.
We also advise each guest to pack their own clothing, toiletries, and other necessities for your comfort as follows:
- Guests undergoing facial or neck surgery are advised to bring nightgowns with large openings for the head and neck area, as well as button-up pajamas, as these clothing items will not disturb your head dressings.
- Guests undergoing breast or abdominal surgery are advised to wear a loose-fitting nightgown or nightshirt with a front opening; this allows our nurses to closely monitor drains and promotes your utmost comfort and relaxation.
- Female guests may wish to bring headscarves or large floppy hats for privacy while being transported to and from follow-up appointments.
- All guests, regardless of procedure, are advised to bring a child-size toothbrush and a zip-up track or jogging suit.
- All guests, regardless of procedure, are encouraged to bring additional comfortable clothes, a laptop, laptop charger, cell phone, cell phone charger, and other electronics for entertainment.
Can I stay at Pearl Recovery the night before my surgery?
We understand that preparing for a procedure can be extremely stressful. To help lessen the stresses you face prior to surgery, we offer the opportunity to stay at Pearl Recovery prior to your procedure. When you choose to stay at Pearl Recovery before your procedure, you choose to relax in complete comfort. In the morning, we will transport you to your surgical center. When we pick you up and return you to your safe haven at Pearl Recovery Retreat and Wellness, your room will still be waiting for you. Can I extend my reservation?
Absolutely. At Pearl Recovery, we understand that everyone’s recovery journey varies. That is why we offer the opportunity to extend your stay at any point during your recovery. Please note, private duty nurses are available for an extended stay, as nursing care will no longer be included. Can you accommodate my special dietary needs?
Our dedicated team of concierge specialists and nurses’ only concern is your well-being. Pearl guests may purchase in-room dining from the L’Ermitage Hotel, juice cleanses, and other clean meal programs specially formulated for post-surgical recovery by Kreation and Pearl Recovery.
