Why go to Pearl Recovery Retreat after my surgery?
Professional surgery recovery is often the difference between a smooth, complication-free, post-op experience and one that leaves a patient feeling stressed and frustrated. With today's hectic lifestyles, patients who do not take the time to relax and adhere to activity restrictions may incur impediments during the surgery recovery process, which can lead to further complications and longer "down time." Scheduling a two or three night stay at a professional surgery recovery center, such as Pearl Recovery Retreat, is an effective way to manage the post-op process, ensuring the patients' safety and peace of mind.Professional recovery is often the difference between a smooth, complication-free, post-op experience and one that leaves a patient feeling stressed and frustrated. When and how are fees paid?
We will get in touch with you prior to your stay at Pearl Recovery Retreat to confirm your reservation with us. When we call, please be so kind as to provide us with your preferred method of payment. We need to have your card on file in order to secure your reservation as well as for hotel incidentals, however, you will not be charged until at least 24 hours prior to check-in.
What should I bring with me?
Pearl Recovery Retreat will provide you with everything you may need (a gown, shampoo, conditioner, and body lotion from Ciel Spa). We suggest you bring cozy clothes you will feel comfortable in depending on the nature of your operation as well as your personal toiletries.
Pearl Recovery Retreat / Pearl Wellness Center shall not be liable for any lost or damaged items during your stay. Pearl Recovery Retreat/ Pearl Wellness Center recommends that you bring any personal property at your own risk.
Will I need a car while I am there?
All transportation from the surgery center as well as to post-op appointments is provided by Pearl Recovery Retreat. Usually upon discharge from Pearl Recovery Retreat patients are picked up either by friends or family since the patients are still rather vulnerable after the operation and are on medication.
What is the recommended length of stay?
It all depends on the procedures involved. Whether it is a short stay or a long one, we will do our utmost to rejuvenate you as much as possible in the time given. Should you decide to prolong your stay at Pearl Recovery Retreat, we will gladly facilitate your needs.
How can family and friends contact or visit me during my stay?
Anyone may visit or call our patients simply by dialing 310-246-5505 and asking for the room number. If you expect visitors, do let us know and we will ensure access to your room. Visiting hours are 8am to 10pm.
Can I have family/friends stay with me overnight?
Absolutely! We appreciate that this is a vulnerable time for our patients and we are more than happy to create the environment where the patients will feel most comfortable on all levels. There is $100 per night charge for an extra person.
Can I bring a pet with me?
Pets are not allowed in our surgery recovery retreat due to the increased risk of infection created by animals.
Do I need to bring any medication with me?
Please bring all medications that you are currently taking unless specified otherwise by a doctor as well as the medication prescribed by your surgeon. You may also be advised by a doctor to acquire relevant homeopathic remedies (ex: arnica) prior to the operation.
I am a vegetarian/ kosher/ halal. Can you accommodate my needs?
Let us know beforehand what your preferences might be and we will make sure all your needs are met. Extra service charge may apply.
I have food allergies. Can you accommodate my needs?
You can give us a call 310-246-5505 or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org with the list of things you are allergic to as well as your preferences and we will work around it.
I am not from Los Angeles. Can I stay at Pearl Recovery Retreat prior to my operation?
No problem! Pearl Recovery Retreat & Wellness is located at the SLS Hotel Beverly Hills with access to all amenities. A lot of our out of town patients prefer to arrive prior to the operation to give themselves enough time to settle in, unpack and take a rest before the operation date. Our pre-op stay charge is $475 per night with an extra $100 charge for an extra person.
What about extra services?
The price of your stay does not include service charges to nurses. Our nurses are known for their professionalism, warmth, and attention during a rather vulnerable time of a post surgery recovery. Any extra service charges upon discharge will be welcomed and appreciated. However, it is your prerogative after all.
